The head of catering at St Andrews Links Trust, Sharon Munro, will be cooking the intermediate course at our St Andrew’s Day Dinner held in association with the Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa on the evening of November 29th.
She is joining an amazing line-up including Martin Hollis, executive chef at the Old Course Hotel; Jamie Scott of The Newport; Geoffrey Smeddle of The Peat Inn Restaurant with Rooms; Mat Majer from The Adamson and Duncan McLachlan of Playfair’s Restaurant and Steakhouse.
The chefs will be supported by students from Cupar’s SRUC Elmwood Campus and Fife College and, from profit made at the dinner, each college will receive a bursary to be used for further hospitality training.

Sharon Munro – Sharon is the head of catering for the St Andrews Links Trust, prior to that she had been the head chef at the “Links” for the past 9 years. Sharon is responsible for all the food offerings across the St Andrews Links Trust properties, as well as having to manage 35 members of her team. She joined the links after working at Balbirnie House Hotel, where she rose from demi chef de partie to junior sous chef in four and a half years. Sharon trained at Carnegie College (now part of Fife College) in Dunfermline.
